A PHOTOGRAPHER has had his camera equipment and rare racing bike stolen after a break it at his Chertsey home.

Jonathan Tennant, 43, came home on in the early hours of Sunday morning to find that his Mead Lane house had been raided while he was out. While his insurance will cover the camera equipment, worth £3,500, he will be out of pocket unless the bike is found.

Mr Tennant said: “The insurance on the bike only covers it up to £1,300 and it cost me just under £2,000 so I am going lose money on it. I haven't got any wedding jobs coming up luckily so I will be okay without my cameras for a while but I was planning to attend a bike event in Manchester this weekend and sell the pictures on so that is out of the window now.”

The bike is a rare Bianchi 928 Carbon Veloce race bike in black carbon with red stripes and has the frame number TP5252817Z. Mr Tennant uses the bike when he competes in triathlons.

The cameras taken were a Canon 7D and Canon 40D along with two lenses, a Sigma 10-20mm and a Sigma 28-70mm.
